Lily Clark is a fiery eighteen year old girl, and a senior in high school. She had amber hair and matching eyes, eyes she inherited from her mother, Susan. She knows nothing about her father, but her stepfather is a man named Rob Nelson. Even though Susan and Rob are married, Lily has kept her original last name.
Lily, as I have said, can have a temper, but she admires her mother's calmness. She wished that one day she can be as laid back as her. She also admires her mother's energy.
Additionally, Lily is a very strong character, who likes to take care of things herself. She also cares deeply about her family and friends, and she would do anything to protect them.
That's all I can say for now. The rest (which is a lot) will be revealed later in this book, and more so in its sequels.
Ivy Nelson Character Bio
Lily's little half-sister. She was thought to carry both the animal and plant strains, but ended up not being the prodigy Offensus was looking for. We don't know much about her yet, but we will definitely learn more about her in future books.
Susan Nelson Character Bio
Susan is the mother of Lily and Ivy. She has been married twice, once to Lily's father and once to Robert Neslson, Ivy's father. She has black hair and amber eyes, and can shift into a blue tulip. She is very calm, and levelheaded.
Robert Nelson Character Bio
Robert is married to Susan Nelson, and is Ivy Nelson's father. He puts his family above all else, even though he needs a break at times and he doesn't quite know how to connect with Lily. He had amber hair and blue eyes. He cannot shift. He had a brother who was a Shifter, who was chased down and killed by those seeking the prodigy. We will learn more about him in future books.
Russell Brownstone Character Bio
I don't want to give too much away about this character yet, so I will be brief.
Russell is a boy who looks to be Lily's age, with chocolate brown hair and hazel eyes. And he can turn into a dog.
Lily finds him nice, but generally annoying, as he has a tendancy to either crack jokes constantly or be deadly serious about something Lily considers to be totally ridiculous. And sometimes it's hard to tell which he is doing. While he can also be very kind and helpful, Lily occasionally finds this annoying as well, as she likes to take care of things herself.
Dr. Brownstone Character Bio
Dr. Brownstone is Russell's father, and looks just like him. His wife, Russell's mother, died a long time ago. He can shift into a bear, and cares deeply for his son, although they have had a bad relationship for a long time.
Val Annson Character Bio
Val Annson is an energetic girl with ligt brown hair and "intense" dark brown eyes. She is kind, and sees the best in people. She has been best friends with Christa for years, and now is also friends with Lily.
Val has a little sister, named Julia. However, she calls her Jules. Lily doesn't get a chance to meet Val's parents in this book, but from what Val has told her about them, she comes to the conclusion that they must be nice.
Jules Annson Character Bio
Val's younger sister. We don't know much about her, but we will hopefully get to know her better in the future.
Christa Ross Character Bio
Christa Ross is Lily's friend at school. However, her mother is Mrs. Ross, the leader of Offensus. Although Christa doesn't know anything about Offensus until towards the end of the story, it faces her with a difficult choice. Will she go on to please her mother? Or will she fight for life?
Mrs. Ross Character Bio
Mrs. (Maura) Ross is the leader of Offensus. She didn't start the organization, but she keeps it going. She conducts all sacrifices, and is also the groups religious leader in whatever religion they practice, (we don't know yet.) She is also a police officer, a job through which she is able to cover up her organization's events. While Offensus doesn't bring in any money for her family, it is a sort of family tradition, and her husband understands this. While he works on his own, he is also a member of Offensus, and often the couple's nights out coincide with Offensus gatherings/sacrifices.
